This artifact represents the Kamares style, a painting style named after a location on the island of Crete, specifically a cave on Mount Ida, where the Middle Minoan flourished (around 1800 BC)
This ceramic is decorated with concentric motifs (eyes?) and white bands on the handles.
This vase was created and decorated entirely by hand (without the use of the lathe). It was then subjected to an antiquing process and finally cooked at a temperature of 950 for approximately 15 hours.
