CERAMIC REPRODUCTION OF THE MOTHER GODDESS This artefact is inspired by a statuette found in the sanctuary of Catal Huyuk, an important inhabited center from the Neolithic era in Anatolia, called by the Romans and Greeks "Asia Minor, a geographical region of south-western Asia which corresponds to today's Asian Turkey . This representation dates back to approximately 6000 BC; it depicts a pregnant female form, crouching with her arms supporting her breasts from which milk flows, the nourishment of Life.

The statuette represented here was entirely hand-modelled, fired at a temperature of 950° for approximately 15 hours, then cold enamelled.
