APHRODITE GODDESS OF LOVE AND BEAUTY
This sculpture represents Aphrodite, known as the goddess of beauty and love, identified by the Romans as Venus, she was, according to Homer, daughter of Zeus and the nymph Dione, however according to Hesiod she was born in spring from the sea foam fertilized by the genitals of Uranus who Cronos had thrown into the sea after the rebellion against his father.

This artifact of mythology comes to me, represented in a particularly sensual and provocative attitude, a characteristic that represents it and the shell, to evoke the sea from which it was born.

The colors present in the sculpture recall youth and passion.

The artefact was modeled from a single block of clay, was then subjected to a 950° firing for approximately 15 hours, then cold enamelled and fixed on a 15cm wooden support.

This support is covered with adhesive material, so as not to cause scratches to the furniture.

Height: 31 cm

Width: 15 cm
