ANCIENT GREEK VASE MINOAN STYLE

This ceramic is characterized by a floral style, in fact papyrus, lilies and other plant figures painted in red and black on light backgrounds are represented. Datable: 1500 BC

Some critics trace ceramics of this type to Naturalism, however others point out that such stylized shapes and the colors used are not natural. To demonstrate this, green, which is the natural color of vegetation, rarely appears.

It dates back to the end of the 15th century BC. C. and also as a consequence of the gradual absorption of the Mycenaean civilization that we find in the decoration of ceramics a return to the artistic phase that experts call "Palace Style".
